Honor is getting ready to release its Honor Magic 5 series soon. The launch will likely happen at this year’s Mobile World Conference event in Barcelona. However, ahead of its launch, a notable tipster revealed the teaser image that reads “Go beyond the Galaxy to witness the real Magic”. With the capitalization of Galaxy, it is obviously a jab at Samsung’s flagship line. So it’s evident that Honor has big goals for its upcoming series. Moreover, the current speculated specifications also seem extremely promising.
The first black hole ever photographed by the Event Horizon Telescope appears in the teaser’s background which is an interesting reference to the Galaxy series. Moreover, the handset was also spotted on China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) certification website hinting at a few specifications. Honor 5 Series: Specifications
The upcoming series may likely include Honor Magic 5, Honor Magic 5 Pro and Honor Magic 5 Ultimate handsets. The Honor Magic 5 Pro and Honor Magic 5 Ultimate will likely feature a 50-megapixel quad rear camera setup. In contrast, the base model will come with a triple rear camera setup. The base variant will feature Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC and sport a 6.8-inch curved display. Moreover, it will have an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance and support 100W wired and 50W wireless charging.
Furthermore, sources suggest that the series will run on Android 13 OS with Magic UI 7.0. There will be a fingerprint scanner embedded in the display of all three gadgets. Additionally, the series will include 5G, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.2, NFC, USB 3.1, dual speakers powered by Dolby, an X-axis linear motor, and USB 3.1.
