The messaging service is apparently working on a feature that will allow users to secretly abandon WhatsApp groups. That is intriguing. You may finally get rid of those annoying WhatsApp groups without alienating the users who contribute to the group on a daily basis. Only the group administrator will be aware that you have left the group.

Wabetainfo, which monitors all changes linked to the messaging app, shared the news. According to the feature tracker, WhatsApp will introduce the ability to leave groups silently.

This means that when you leave a group, the members are unaware of your departure, and only the group admin is told. When a user leaves the group, the current configuration displays a message in the group. According to reports, WhatsApp is planning to include the capability in a future update.

In a same vein, WhatsApp just introduced the ability to hide the last seen, profile photo, and status updates from specific contacts. “To help you safeguard your online privacy even more, we’re adding new options to your privacy control settings.”
You can now choose who in your contact list has access to your Profile Photo, About, and Last Seen status.” Previously, users could not hide their last seen and status updates from specific persons. Users have only three options: “Everyone,” “My Contacts,” and “Nobody.” Users can now select “My Contacts except.”
