Google Pixel Event 2021: New Pixel 6 And Pixel 6 Pro Launched, Price And Specs

The wait is finally over, Google has unveiled its latest flagship in a launch event ‘Pixel fall Launch” from their California headquarters. The brand has already revealed the key specification and the design of the Google Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 pro earlier in a tweet. Since we already were aware of what’s coming, the new launch event was all about the performance of the new Tensor chipset and the new camera hardware. 

Google Tensor will aim to optimise in-house apps. A powerful SoC designed specially to compute the AI and ML-driven tasks on Google Pixel. Moreover, by inserting parts of HDR-Net directly onto the Tensor chip, it will now work in all video modes for the first time — even at 4K and 60 frames per second — to deliver recordings with more accurate and vivid colours.

Apart from this, Google will also roll out a quick tap to snap feature, which is co-developed by Snapchat in its Pixel series later this year. Furthermore, to make the language barriers smaller, Google now comes with improved speech recognition features along with the Tensor chipset.

Google Pixel 6:

Display & performance: Google Pixel 6 is featuring a 6.4-inch FHD+ OLED display. The device features the latest in-house chipset Tensor and will come with a hole-punch design.

Camera: Pixel 6 configuration comes with a dual rear camera with a 50-megapixel primary shooter and a 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens. Camera features include a magic eraser that will remove unwanted materials in the background.

Google Pixel 6 Pro:

Display & performance: The Pixel 6 Pro comes with a slightly bigger display and features a 6.7-inch 120Hz QHD+ display, and packs the same Tensor chipset. The device comes with 12GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage for the base variant. 
Camera: The Google 6 pro has a triple back camera configuration with a 12-megapixel selfie camera on the front. Also, it comprises a 50-megapixel wide-angle sensor, a 48-megapixel telephoto lens with 4x optical zoom, and a 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle sensor.

Price and Availability:

The new Pixel 6 is priced at $599 (approx Rs 44,900) for the base model. However, the Pixel 6 Pro is priced at $899 (approx Rs 67,500) for the base model. Both of these models are available for pre-order as of today and will be available by October 25.

While Google Pixel 6 Pro will be available in White, Black, and Light Gold colours, Pixel 6 has Black, Red, and Blue options. Google also set the trend as it promises its users five years of security support. It features Titan M2TM to protect sensitive user data, PINs and passwords. Additionally, the Pixel series runs on Android 12 and comes with its own recyclable covers.
