Google seems to be gearing up to launch their Pixel 6 series of smartphones soon. The upcoming series will include the Google Pixel 6 and Google Pixel 6 Pro. Both the smartphones have been a rumour mill favourite for quite some time now. The design of the upcoming smartphones have already been tipped by multiple resources these past couple of months.
Now, according to a report by XDA Developers, the primary rear sensor of the Pixel 6 has been revealed. In addition, the modem that will power up the device has also been tipped, courtesy to folks over at XDA Developers. According to the report, the Google Pixel 6 will feature a 50MP Samsung GN1 ISOCELL primary sensor. When it comes to the modem, the device will feature the Exynos 5123 5G modem.

Now, XDA Developers came across this piece of information via a new Android 12 preview release. Moreover, this is basically the Android 12 Beta 4 preview. Now, when digging deeper into the code libraries of the Google Camera APK, it revealed the presence of the GN1 wide angle sensor. This is a brand new sensor which is smaller in size but offers great megapixel rendering and will replace Sony IMX363 sensor used on Google Pixel devices, from the looks of it.
Google Pixel 6: What More?
Furthermore, when digging into the Android 12 Beta deeper, it revealed the Samsung Exynos 5123 mode. Now, this new revelation falls in line with previous leaks. Previous leaks have suggested that the custom Google Tensor chipsets which will power the Google Pixel 6 series will be based on Samsung’s 5G modem. Further, this modem has been powering Samsung’s flagship devices as well.

Additionally, the Exynos 5123 5G mdoem comes with Sub-6 and mmWave connectivity support. This in turn, offers Google a broader market reach on a global scale. Sadly, for now, nothing has been revealed about the Google Pixel 6 availability in India.

Moving to the design of the upcoming smartphone, it will sport a unique rear design. Previous leaks have revealed a horizontal camera module which houses the rear camera sensors. In addition, the Pixel 6 will reportedly come with a large 6.7-inch QHD+ AMOLED display. The display is also said to come with a fast 120Hz refresh rate. Moreover, the Pixel 6 series devices have now been tipped to come with a 50-megapixel primary rear sensor along with a bunch of other features which shall be revealed upon its official launch.
