  • Google Pixel 6 series will launch next month. The lineup may include two phones this time around — Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro. Although there is confirmation that Google is developing its own chip for Pixel phones. A fresh leak reveals all the important information about the Google Pixel 6 Pro. The upcoming series will launch as a successor to the Google Pixel 5 series of devices. Meanwhile, a video on Twitter by @thistechtoday claims to be the first hands-on for the Pixel 6 Pro smartphone.

    The video confirms that the Googe Pixel 6 Pro will have a glossy finish and some details of the Tensor chipset. It shows a grey prototype device without the Google logo having a glossy back. Moreover, the hardware and design shown in the video are expecting to match the final design of the Google Pixel 6 Pro.

    The leaked video also reveals some key specifications of the Tensor chipset via an image in ThisisTechToday’s video. The image shows the Google Pixel Pro 6 running the CPU-Z app. This is revealing the architecture of the Tensor chipset. If the leak is true, then the Tensor chipset will be feature two ARM Cortex-X1, two ARM Cortex-A76 and four ARM Cortex-A55 cores. For your information, ARM Cortex-X1 is considered to be the most powerful Cortex CPU available on Android devices.

    According to the video, the back features a black bar that houses the three camera lenses. The phone has a curvy design both at the back and front and features a hole-punch type selfie camera at the top-right of the display. The back reflects light falling on it, confirming its glossy finish.

    Recently, Google will add support for 33W fast charging to Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro smartphones. They have also shared some regulatory labels for the Pixel smartphones. These are the labels that Google reportedly submitted to Taiwan’s National Communications Commission (NCC).
