    According to the source, Jio plans to sell 50 million handsets in the next six months and has worked with the State Bank of India, Piramal Capital, IDFC First Assure, and DMI Finance to achieve this goal. Together, they vowed to do business worth Rs 10,000 crores.

    The Jio Phone Next is described as India’s cheapest 4G smartphone. The handset will now be offered in two variants, according to reports. The Jio Phone Next Basic model will be one of them, according to the report, while the JioPhone Next Advance variant would be the other. The former is expected to cost roughly Rs 5,000, while the latter is expected to cost around Rs 7,000.

    Furthermore, Jio Phone Next buyers will not be required to pay the whole cost at the time of purchase. This is offered in order to ease the financial burden. Instead, buyers can pay only 10% of the phone’s cost up front; and the rest can be paid overtime to the above-mentioned banks and financial companies via EMI. This means you may get the Basic model for just Rs 500 and the rest in easy-to-repay instalments. Similarly, the Advanced model will be available for Rs 700.

    Reliance Jio has also signed credit assistance contracts worth Rs 2,500 crores with four non-banking finance companies (NBFCs); in addition to the above-mentioned banks.
