  • Genshin Impact is all set to roll out their biggest updates ever on October 14, 2021. The update will basically be Genshin Impact v2.2 and will be bringing a ton of new things to the game. The game is easily one of the biggest multiplayer games to play out there currently. Further, this update is going to make the better significantly better in terms of overall experience for players.

    Genshin Impact makers, miHoYo studios, recently announced the the upcoming update will be finally bringing the last island in the game. The open fantasy world of Inazuma has six major islands. Till now, players only had access to five of them. Now, the game will finally introduce the last of the six islands.

    In addition, the upcoming massive update will also introduce a new playable character. This character is called Thoma and will be quite an interesting character to play around with. In addition, several mini games, new challenges and more are coming to the game via this update as well. We will also get to see Aloy from Horizon Zero Dawn being introduced as a playable character. Moreover, it will be a five-star crossover character that will be available for free to all players.

    Tsurumi

    The last of the six major islands of Inazuma in Genshin Impact is called Tsurumi Island. The upcoming major update will introduce this island and will be open for exploration as well. From the looks of it, the Island gives off an enigmatic vibe and will be holding several surprises for players to run into.

    When it comes to the enemy population of the island, we will primarily be seeing a lot of Rifthounds and Rifthound Whelps. The island is enveloped by a dense layer of fog, which gives off a pretty mysterious vibe. In this dense fog, it can get pretty challenging for players to find the way, which adds to the fun of it.

    New Playable Character – Thoma

    Thoma will be added as the newest playable character in the game. Moreover, it will be added as a four star character. The character’s primary weapons are Polearm and Pyro Vision. The character will be available to recruit during the second Event Wish. Besides, Hangout Events for Thoma and Sayu will be added in Genshin Impact v2.2.

    Seasonal Events

    In addition to the new island and playable character, we will also be getting seasonal events in the game. There will be two primary seasonal events in the upcoming Genshin Impact v2.2 update. These are:

    Labyrinth Warriors

    This will primarily be an adventure in the open world of Inazuma. Players will be playing this with “Childe” Tartaglia, Xinyan, Liyue’s rock ‘n’ roll musician and Eleventh of the Fatui Harbingers.

    Tuned to the World’s Sounds 

    On the other hand, Tuned to the World’ sounds will be a rhythm based game. This rhythm based mini game will be featuring multiple characters like Ningguang, Zhongli, Keqing, Xiao, Sangonomiya Kokomi, Kamisato Ayaka, and the Raiden Shogun.

    Genshin Impact V2.2: Technical Improvements

    When it comes to technical improvements, the upcoming update will bring in quite a few significant changes to the game. These include DualSense Controller support for Genshin Impact PC. In addition, we will also be seeing quite a few changes to the Serenitea Pot and more. A great thing about the game is that since there is cross-platform and save function, players will be able to resume their progress from any platform.
