Battlefield 2042 Open Beta is all set to release on October 6, 2021. The Open Beta for the game will be up and running till October 9, 2021. The game is officially set to release as a stable version on November 19, 2021. The game was previously scheduled to release on October but because of the ongoing pandemic, things have been slowed down for the collective good of the game.
Now, ahead of its Open Beta and official version’s release, EA and DICE have rolled out something important. They took to their official Battlefield 2042 website to talk about their stand for Positive Play in the upcoming game. Hacking takes over games at one point or another and it is important that game developers talk about the consequences of such unethical behaviour in the game. This not only becomes a root cause of frustration for the honest community who have been grinding day in and day out.

Further, DICE’s post on Positive Play in the upcoming Battlefield 2042 game showcases that they are definitely not kidding about permanently banning accounts for hacking. The game makers are strictly on board with a zero tolerance for hacking or cheating in the game.

Further, a section of the post reads as, “As before, we still have the ability to apply IP and hardware bans if necessary. To keep our community a fair place, we have a no tolerance rule in place. There are no warnings and no suspensions when it comes to cheating. If you don’t play by the rules, you’re out. Any actions made on your account can be appealed via EA Help.”

DICE also states that a hacking Battlefield 2042 player shall receive a permanent ban instantly. Besides, this permanent ban applies across all platforms. Moreover, the cheater can be in the middle of a match and they will immediately disconnect the player off the server and ban the suspicious individual.
Although these permanent bans have had a track record of decreasing the total number of hackers, more than often we have seen collateral damage to other honest players. Sometimes honest players receive perma bans for absolutely no reason. Now, the Battlefield 2042 developers have rolled out a solution for that as well. As per the post, wrongfully banned players can take to EA Help. They can send out their appeal and the developeers shall look into that.

Another important thing to note here is that Battlefield 2042 will be using the anti-cheap tech of Apex Legends. This software is the Easy Anti-Cheat or EAC software. The Positive Play post made by DICE also states that, “Due to cross-play functionality, when a cheater is sanctioned it will cause them to be instantly disconnected mid-match and permanently banned across all platforms.”
