Galaxy S21 FE May Come With 4,500mAh Battery Capacity Larger Than S21

As is tradition, the Galaxy S-series comes with its own Fan Edition (FE) variant every year. Now, with Galaxy S21 series launched earlier this year – we can expect the launch of Galaxy S21 FE to happen soon. However, in the past few months, we are seeing a lot of rumors and leaks on the same. Although, there is something new to add to the list of leaks available online.

Earlier, leaker OnLeaks shares an early look of the Samsung Galaxy S21 FE, revealing its overall design among other things. It looks like a carbon copy of the standard Galaxy S21. However, now a recent leaks suggests on the battery capacity of the said device.

According to the report by Galaxyclub, the Galaxy S21 FE battery comes with model number EB-BG990ABY. In addition, it has a rated capacity of 4,370mAh. This suggests the typical capacity will be 4,500mAh, which is the same as the Galaxy S20 FE. However, it is believed that just like the Galaxy S20 FE had the same battery capacity as the Galaxy S20+. We can expect that the Galaxy S21 FE will come with the same capacity as the Galaxy S21+, but that doesn’t seem to be the case.

To recall, Samsung Galaxy S21 has a 4,000mAh battery whereas the Galaxy S21+ has a 4,800mAh battery. The Galaxy S21 FE is also expected to come with a 4,800mAh battery but at least it is still bigger than the one on the Galaxy S21.

Earlier this month, leaks suggest Galaxy S21 FE will see changes in material, display size, and dimensions. Firstly, it will feature what Samsung refers to as a “Glastic” rear panel instead of a glass panel. It can feature a bigger 6.4-inch display as compared to the 6.2-inch panel of the standard model. In addition to this, it will make the device 4mm taller and 3.3mm wider. The phone can also feature a metal frame and a slightly different rear camera design that seems to protrudes directly from the rear panel.
