Online delivery scams are a real thing and customers have often got duped by these. Flipkart and Amazon have had several such incidences wherein customers receive the wrong product. In worst case scenarios, they receive soap bars instead of iPhones. Now, one thing that is important to be understood is that there are fraudulent sellers that often do this and the company has nothing to do with this.
If a fraudulent seller dupes his or her customer, both Flipkart and Amazon have always provided their customers with a full refund. However, these instances are very rare and do not occur as much as they used to before. Sadly, one such individual who goes by the name of Simranpal Singh, has encountered such a problem. He received soap bars instead of Apple iPhone 12 during the Flipkart Big Billion Days 2021 sale.

Flipkart iPhone 12 Scam: What Happened?
There had been cases of soap bars getting delivered instead of iPhone 12 via Flipkart and Amazon three to four years ago. That matter was looked into and customers rarely got duped since then. However, in a disappointing turn of events, Simranpal Singh received two soap bars instead of the iPhone 12 he ordered.

Singh had placed an order for iPhone 12 at Rs. 51,999. Luckily, he made a video of the entire situation and things were much smoother for him than usual. This is exactly why one needs to make videos during such open box deliveries, whether it is from Flipkart or Amazon. In fact, even when open box deliveries were not a thing, it was advised that people make videos of them unboxing the items delivered.
Further, when the box was opened, two Rs. 5 Nirma soap bars appeared instead of iPhone 12. Singh declined giving the OTP to the respective Flipkart Wishmaster. He then called up Flipkart customer service and finally, his order was marked as failed delivery. Moreover, the delivery was cancelled and refund was initiated instantly.
He event took to YouTube to post a video of the entire fiasco. This helped him in getting the refund more quickly.
