Facebook Messenger all-new AR Group Effects
Group Effects, a new tool for Facebook Messenger video calls and Messenger Rooms, is now available to all users worldwide. It could take some time for all users to get it. Start a video call or establish a room in the Facebook Messenger app to see if it has been enabled for you. When that’s done, click the smiley face to bring up the effects tray. Look for a Group Effects option and choose it to see all of the options that can be applied to all of the video call participants.

Facebook already has augmented reality effects for Stories and Reels; and it has now brought them to video calls and rooms as well. One of the new Group Effects is Ross Wakefield’s Blow the Dandelion, which provides a grassy beard to all participants on the video call.
Facebook Messenger and Instagram have just received new features such as cross-app group communication, new group typing indicators, and Instagram DM polls.
