In the coming weeks, iQOO will soon be launching a new smartphone in the market, the iQOO 9. Last month, the company launched iQOO 7 in the Chinese market. The iQOO 7 is powered by the Snapdragon 888 with 5G and sports a 120W fast-charging technology.
According to Vivo, the smartphone resulted in more than CNY 200 million in revenue. One area where the phone lacked was its battery capacity, a 4,000 mAh battery pack that barely lasted a day.
In order to make up to users who wanted to buy the device, the company has planned to release the iQOO 9, which will be the successor to the iQOO 7.
iQOO 9 Battery:
According to Digital Chat Station, the upcoming device will feature a dual-cell battery with a combined capacity of 4310 mAh. This means that each cell can hold a charge of up to 2155 mAh.
Dual-cell batteries are extremely good when manufacturers want to implement fast charging. The iQOO 7 already has support for 120W fast charging. The same can be expected from the iQOO 9. The existing lineup already weighs over 200 gms. It might be one of the reasons why Vivo isn’t looking forward to expanding the battery capacity.
iQOO Release Date:
If we take a look at Vivos launch dates last year, the phone will be released sometime in the second half of the year. Precisely, it is expected to be released in the middle of Q3 2021.
