    Moto Edge X: What Else?
  • Motorola has recently been on a roll with their China launches. The Moto Edge S Pro and Moto Edge Lite have gone official in the region recently and now, the brand seems to be gearing up to launch their Moto Edge X flagship. General Manager of Lenovo China took to Weibo to tease the device.

    The teaser does not reveal anything extraordinary and we are just left with an ‘X’ with the Motorola logo at the bottom of the poster. However, he did talk about the Moto Edge X being “infinitely powerful”. Further, he also talked about the device being “full of expectations”. This does hint at it being a flagship device. From the looks of it, the smartphone will be launching in China pretty soon.

    Meanwhile, something else about the device has come to light as well. Talks of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 898 chipset have been going around for quite some time. Well, going by recent speculations, the Moto Edge X may be powered by this chipset.

    As per reports, Qualcomm will be unveiling their Snapdragon 898 chipset soon. The chipset will reportedly be announced at their upcoming Tech Summit event by the end of November, 2021. Now, it is not clear as to whether the Moto Edge X will indeed carry this chipset.

    To recall, the brand has not announced a flagship device with the powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 SoC. Going by this, we can also expect the upcoming Moto Edge X to be powered by the Snapdragon 888. However, the possibility of the device being powered by the Snapdragon 898 SoC is also not something that can be completely neglected. Hopefully, we will get to know more about the flagship device in the coming days.
