Xbox will update the share button on the Xbox controller soon to perform additional functions beyond simply sharing images. As a result of Microsoft’s ongoing testing with Insiders, a new remapping functionality is now available. In time, this will be available to all users.
In the Alpha or Alpha Skip Ahead Alpha rings, if you’re an Insider tester, you should be able to download the Xbox controller firmware that contains the remapping of the Share button. By adding this, you may add new functions to the Share button, such as sending a message, searching for content, and pausing and resuming playback of media files.

There will be a total of nine enhancements to the share button. In addition, the remap may get customise to perform an action with a single button press or a double touch or hold on the device to make things even more flexible. As a result, you have the option of setting the button to do three different things at once. Each of these actions has a single choice.

There are nine new mapping options for the Xbox 360 controller’s share button. Even the most basic controllers maybe seem more sophisticated by remapping their settings. Xbox wireless controller owners will soon be able to use this feature.
The following choices are available for remapping the share button after you’ve updated to the latest firmware. In the Xbox guide, access your fast settings and switch between night mode and colour filters, narrator, and magnifier. You may also send a message or search for anything in the Xbox guide.

Make sure to keep in mind that these alternatives may all be assigned one button push. That’s what now enables you to take a snapshot while playing a game and send it to a friend. You may maintain that option, but you can remap any of the nine new choices to a double-tap or button hold instead if you choose.
