    According to a report by News18, the Union government’s cybersecurity division is considering a ban on BGMI in India and recommended discontinuing the app. Furthermore, the report claims the entry of Pakistani citizen Seema Haider, who met her partner Sachin Meena on BGMI, is one of the major reasons behind the decision.

    BGMI data collection is another potential reason the game could face a ban in India. The servers are based in the US, and government agencies want to ensure there is no movement of data to other countries. Previously, BGMI faced a ban in 2021 for cybersecurity reasons, as the game reportedly sent data to China.

    Moreover, the news report claims a meeting scheduled for next week will take the final decision, with developer Krafton presenting its stance on the issue and central agencies taking the final call.
