    Battlegrounds Mobile India Ban?
  • If you’re playing Battlegrounds Mobile India, often known as Indian PUBG, data from your Android device is most certainly being transferred to a server in China. The Battlegrounds Mobile India APK is sending and receiving BGMI user data via China Mobile Communications servers in Beijing and Tencent’s Proxima Beta in Hong Kong, according to IGN India. Additionally, the data is transferred to Microsoft Azure servers in the United States, Mumbai, and Moscow (Russia).

Krafton has already stated that the Indian version of PUBG Mobile will handle all of the appropriate paperwork and that no data will be sent outside of India. Also, the company will save the user data on the Indian servers, and everything will operate from here itself.

By using a data packet sniffer application, the publication was able to verify the reports. The findings showed that Chinese servers are receiving user data from Android smartphones in India.  China Mobile Communications Corporation, a Chinese corporation with a server in Beijing, was also receiving the data.

    Battlegrounds Mobile India Ban?

India banned PUBG Mobile last year due to privacy security concerns. At the time, Krafton stated that it is operating closely with the Indian authorities to ensure compliance with local laws. It also revealed that it had terminated links with Tencent in India in order to relaunch the game.

The latest report can be a matter of concern for Krafton. This comes after several Indian politicians called for a ban on the new PUBG Mobile alternative. The Confederation of All India Traders (CAIT) has sent a letter to the Minister of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) claiming that the BGMI poses a threat to Indian security.

While the terms of service for Krafton’s Battlegrounds Mobile India states that the company will store and process all the personal data on servers in India and Singapore, it also states that the company may “transfer your data to other countries” to meet “legal requirements,” potentially allowing the company to do so.
