Apple, announced on its website, that it is going to increase the battery replacement costs for all its out-of-warranty iPhones starting March 2023. Additionally, the company is also hiking the prices of iPad and Mac battery replacements. The price hike for battery replacements will be applicable for all iPhone models older than Apple iPhone 14 series. For all models of the Apple iPhone 13 and Apple iPhone 12 series, the battery replacement price will increase by $20 (around Rs 1,700).
According to the Apple website, the company charges $69 (around Rs 5,700) for a replacement on most iPhone models. The exact price of replacing batteries in India is not known yet. This price hike will likely impact customers who do not have AppleCare or AppleCare Plus for their devices. As customers with AppleCare Plus will not have to pay anything for a battery replacement once their battery health has decreased past 80 per cent.

Apple Battery Replacement Cost
Apple is also reportedly increasing the price of out-of-warranty battery replacements for Mac and iPad. The price of battery replacement for MacBook Air will increase by $30 (around Rs 2,500). And for MacBook Pro, the price will increase by $50 (around Rs 4,100). In contrast, the Newer iPad models will see their prices increase by $20 (around Rs 1,650).
These price hikes will be effective from March 1st, 2023. The price mentioned excludes tax charges and customers will be charged an additional shipping charge if the company needs to ship out models. The present Battery Service fee for out-of-warranty iPhone 14 series is $99 (around Rs 8,200). Whereas for iPhone 13 and older full-screen iPhones it’s $69 (around Rs 5,700). Lastly, for iPhones with the home button, the charge is $49 (over Rs 4,000). The company hasn’t revealed the reason for the price hike. However, we assume that it may be due to the increased cost of materials and the workforce.
