Apple Watch Series 7 Features Leaked

Apple’s latest smartwatch offering of Watch Series 7 is due for launch this year. Rumors flooding the market talks about a larger display with up to 16 percent more screen real estate compared to Series 6. The Apple Watch Series 7 is scheduled to be launched in Apple’s September event which will also consist of the new 2021 iPhone lineup launch.

According to a recent report, the Watch Series 7 will have newer watch faces specifically made for the larger display. The Series 7 will be out in two size options – 41 mm and 45 mm. Both these are a notch bigger than the previous Apple Watch Series 6, which came in 40mm and 44mm case sizes.

Apple Watch Series 7 Features

The Successor of Apple Watch 6, Watch 7 will pick up from where the predecessor dropped off. Watch Series 7 will feature a 1.9-inch screen on its 45 mm model as compared to 1.78 inch on earlier 44 mm models. The 45 mm model Series 7 will feature 16 percent more pixels at 396 x 484 pixels up from Series 6’s 368 x 448 pixels.

The Series 7 will receive new watch faces especially designed for the large screen size. The new watch faces will be called Modular Max, Continuum, and a new world time face.

• Modular Max: This face does a lot more than the previous Infograph Modular watch face. It is capable of showing detailed, large, and small complications.
• Continuum: This face changes based on the time flow and the current hour.
• World time watch face: This helps to take a peek of all 24 time zones simultaneously. An external dial will display the time zones while the inner one will show different locations.

Additionally, Apple will be developing special faces for Nike and Hermes edition of the Watch Series 7. The Hermes watch will feature “numbers that change hour by hour”. The Nike watch face will see numbers that move as per the physical motion of body. The watch is powered by a faster processor as well as a newer, flatter design language overall. However, Watch 7 Series will not see any new health upgrades.

Apple however ran into an issue in the production of the Series 7. It encountered “critical challenges in reaching satisfactory production performance”. This led to the production put on hold until the quality checks were passed and production process was rid of the issue.
