  • On June 17, 2022, Apple’s new Apple MacBook Pro 13 with M2 will be available for pre-order in India and abroad. According to a blog post, the laptop will begin shipping to buyers globally on June 24, 2022. The laptop is available in two colours: silver and space grey, with a starting price of Rs. 1,29,900. It was introduced alongside the M2 SoC-powered MacBook Air 13, which also comes in two models. The new Air model, on the other hand, comes in four different colours.

    The 256GB SSD storage option of the MacBook Pro 13 with M2 costs Rs. 1,29,900 in India. A 512GB SSD storage option is available for $1,49,900. Both models have the same RAM configuration of 8GB RAM.

    With “qualified credit” cards, Apple will also provide a no-cost EMI payment option for up to six months. The MacBook Pro 13 with M2 will be accessible to ‘education’ clients for Rs. 1,19,900. Customers will also be able to turn in their current computer for credit toward a new Mac through Apple’s Trade-In programme.

    While the new MacBook Air 13 with M2 offers a revamped look, the MacBook 13 Pro with M2 is nearly comparable to the 2020 MacBook 13 Pro with M1. The display of the laptop remains notch-free. However, the integrated chipset has a faster 8-core CPU and 10-core GPU.

    “Playing graphics-intensive games like Baldur’s Gate 3 is also approximately 40 per cent faster than the previous 13-inch MacBook Pro and up to 3.3x faster for users switching from a device without Apple silicon,” according to Apple. It also has a single fan to help with heat dissipation.
