Adobe Unveils New Firefly AI Models For Its Software Suite

Adobe unveiled over 100 new generative AI enhancement features at its annual Adobe MAX conference event. These features will be available across all Adobe products like Illustrator, Photoshop, Lightroom, Premiere Pro and Adobe Stock. The company announced three new Firefly generative AI models: Adobe Firefly Image 2, FireFly Design and Firefly Vector.

The Firefly Image 2 can generate high-quality images and render humans more accurately while enhancing the text alignment. New features like Generative Match can generate content according to the user-specified styles and Photo Settings for photography style image adjustments.

Furthermore, it offers better Text-to-image capabilities and Prompt guidance for allowing users to expand or reword their AI prompts. The company claims it has trained the model with licensed content from Adobe Stock and public domain content with expired copyright. Moreover, the model will support prompts in more than 100 languages.

Adobe Firefly Vector AI Model

Next is the Adobe Firefly Vector, which the company claims is the world’s first generative AI model for vector graphics. Users can generate “human quality” vectors with simple text prompts. Furthermore, these generated graphics are editable, compact and can be reorganised into different groups. The company claims it can accelerate innovation and inspiration in marketing and advertising graphic creation.

The model also has the Generative Match feature to ensure that vectors align with the existing style. You can also create editable vector gradients using the model to simplify your work.

Adobe Firefly Design AI Model

Third is the Adobe Firefly Design AI model, which can generate stunning template designs. The feature will be available in Adobe Express, and users can create templates using Text to Template capabilities. Furthermore, it can generate templates in all aspect ratios, which will be fully editable in Adobe Express to use for print, social and web advertising. It is also adding the Generative Fill feature to Adobe Express so users can insert, remove or replace objects using text prompts.

Other Adobe apps like Lightroom will also get the Lens blur and HDR optimisation feature, while Premiere Pro and After Effects will get text-based editing and motion enhancements. Content creators can also post their videos directly from Aftereffects and Premiere Pro on Facebook and YouTube.Adobe will compete against companies like Midjourney, DALL-E and Stable Diffusion with the new Firefly generative AI models.
