What is 1899’s storyline?

But don’t expect another time travel story. “We don’t repeat ourselves because we despise it, but it’ll be a great puzzle for the audience.” We’re going to return to our mystery.
The eight episodes revolve around the intriguing circumstances surrounding an immigrant ship’s journey from Europe to New York. The longings and pursuits of the travellers, who hail from many origins and countries and their possibilities in other countries, bound them together.
When they find a second ship floating on the open sea that has been missing for months, their adventure takes an unexpected turn. What they find on board will turn their trip to the promised land into a nightmare-like puzzle, linking the passengers’ pasts together in a web of secrets.
