OnePlus 8 series is officially releasing on April 14 and we already know a few confirmed specs that the series will bring on-board. Apparently, OnePlus CEO Pete Lau recently posted an estimated price tag for the upcoming series.
Although it is not an actual price tag that the upcoming OnePlus 8 series will be available at, Pete added that its most-expensive OnePlus 8 Pro will not cross the $1,000-mark. Apparently, OnePlus 8 series will be priced under the $1,000 mark giving it an edge over its competitors like Samsung Galaxy S20 5G which commences at $999.99.

To shed light on the pricing, the highest model under OnePlus 8 Pro will not succeed $1,000 which is roughly Rs 75,000/- based on the current exchange rates. Of course, the upcoming series will bring 5G for all, it is a massive achievement for OnePlus to include everything a flagship smartphone has in a not-so-but-it’s-okay price tag.
OnePlus 7 series was the first to surpass the Rs 50,000/- mark so if the upper limit is Rs 75K for the OnePlus 8 series, it is still expensive in some context given that OnePlus smartphones are priced in progression which means its lowest model is probably gonna be available at Rs 50,000/- if not less.
OnePlus 8 Pro made its appearance on Geekbench 5 giving a heads-up on the specs and the performance it will bring on the table. Based on the listing, OnePlus 8 Pro will have a 12GB RAM, 256GB storage, Android 10-based OxygenOS 10 and will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 SoC with Adreno 650 GPU where the other half was confirmed by Pete Lau himself on a Weibo post.
The listing states that OnePlus 8 Pro managed to score 906 points on a single-core test while hitting the 3398 points on a multi-core test.
