How To find Signal Strength on iPhone
Just follow these simple steps to find the signal strength on your iPhone easily.
- Open the Phone app on your iPhone. Now, go to the dial pad.
- Dial *3001#12345#* and then click on the call option.
- You will now enter the hidden Field Test Mode on your iPhone. On the top-right corner, you will see a Menu icon. Tap on it.
- On the next screen, under the RAT section, tap on the Cell Info.
- Now, on the next screen, find the RSRP cell. The number next to it is your signal strength.
Note: The dashboard or the Field Test Interface may look different on different iOS.
What is RSRP?
It’s possible that you might not have an idea about RSRP. In terms of radio signals, RSRP stands for Reference Signal Received Power, and it is displayed as a negative number between -80 to -100.
An RSRP of -80 is said to be excellent. If you are getting this number, this means your iPhone is showing excellent signal strength. RSRP between -80 to -91 is said to be good, while -91 to -100 is considered as a poor signal. If your iPhone is showing -100, this means there is no signal.
If you constantly get RSRP between -91 to -100, this means it’s high time you switch to any better network carrier.
