    Women’s health focus

The Apple Watch Series 8, which is the immediate successor to Apple’s last top wearable, comes first. A temperature sensor created to enhance the tracking of women’s health is remarkably new. According to Apple, sensors on the watch’s underside and directly beneath the touchscreen can detect temperature changes as small as 0.1 degrees Celsius. Temperature, heart rate, and cycle logging data can be used to track abnormalities and alert users to them. Also, the entire data is end-to-end encrypted and is only accessible via passcode or biometrics.

    Crash detection

Advanced crash detection is another new security feature included with the Apple Watch Series 8. The Series 8 includes two new accelerometers and gyroscopes that can gauge the force of a frontal, side, rear, and roll-over collision. Pickup trucks, SUVs, and passenger automobiles can all use the detection. Apple claims that all crash detection data is stored only on your watch. The safety feature will automatically notify authorities if the Apple Watch determines that the user has been involved in a serious accident.

    Battery life improvement

The 18-day battery life of the Apple Watch Series 8 doesn’t appear to be an improvement over earlier models. With the Apple Watch, Apple offers low power mode for the first time, which can extend battery life by up to 36 hours. On Watch Series 4 and later models running watchOS 9, low power mode will be accessible.

    Design upgrades

Regarding the design, the Watch Series 8 has a similar appearance to the Watch 7 but with smaller bezels and a larger display.

The Series 8 will be in two finishes: stainless steel and aluminium. In addition to silver, gold, and graphite in stainless steel, aluminium and stainless steel colours include midnight, starlight, silver, and product red. The sizes will be identical to those of the Series 7, i.e., 41mm and 54mm.

    Other minor upgrades

The Series 8 will also support international roaming, all-day battery life of 18 hours, and a new low-power mode that extends battery life to 36 hours on a single charge.

While temporarily limiting other capabilities like the always-on display and auto workout recognition, the low power mode doesn’t completely restrict how the watch may be used. You can still use features like activity tracking and fault detection. When using a Watch Series 4 or later device with watchOS 9, low power mode will be accessible.

    Pricing and release

The new Watch has an 18-hour battery life, costing $399 for GPS and $499 for cellular and GPS. For three months, Apple has offered new users Apple Fitness+. Pre-sales begin today, and general sales are slated to start on September 16. Beginning on September 16, the watch will be available for purchase. The price of the Apple Watch 8 series for India should also be available soon.
