With the smartphone market flooding with new 5G-enabled contenders, budget smartphone users feeling lagged behind due to presence of 5G only in premium price tag. But, here’s good news. Honor is expected to introduce the cheapest 5G enabled smartphone, the Honor 10X.
With an aim to bring 5G to the masses, the Honor 10X doesn’t seem to compromise in other aspects when it comes to internals. The device would be an upgrade to the Honor 9X, so the spec-sheet is going to be pretty decent. We can expect company’s in-house Kirin 820 5G chipset to power the smartphone under the hood, which would be clubbed with upto 6GB or 8GB of RAM along with up to 128GB of internal storage.

The Honor 9X sports a pop-up selfie camera above a large 6.59-inch Full HD+ IPS LCD display and gets juiced up by a 4,000mAh battery. It has a triple rear camera setup which boasted a 48MP primary sensor. So, we can expect the Honor 10X to boast an equal or likely an upgraded spec-sheet than its predecessor. There is also a possibility that the device will get an in-display or a side mounted fingerprint reader.

As of now, its expected that Honor will launch the new Honor 10X smartphone around the same range as its predecessor, Honor 9X. The device would really get great sales if it is launched at the budget price, that is around CNY 1,000 (roughly Rs. 10,700) price segment. This segment is presently very popular in India and will aid in providing 5G to the masses.
