Spiderman Miles Morales PC Release Date
It’s been a few days since the PC Features trailer’s been released for the game. With it, Sony included the game’s release date as well. Spiderman Miles Morales on PC is slated to arrive on November 18, 2022.
Story
The game is set after the events of the base Spider-Man game. In the first game, Miles Morales gains his powers and spends a significant amount of time coming to terms with these changes. While there were snippets in the base game of Peter agreeing to train Miles, the spin-off game shows a Miles Morales who’s much more experienced. In fact, he’s had a substantial amount of training for almost a year with Peter Parker.
The game provides Miles with enough depth to come into his own as a superhero. Since Peter Parker is off to Symkaria on an assignment, Miles must protect New York City and its various boroughs. This time, he faces tough opponents in the form of the Prowler, Tinkerer, and the problematic Roxxon Corporation. With the latter pushing into Harlem, Miles’ home, this battle is more personal than ever!
Gameplay
If you’ve played the base game, you’ll soon realise that the upcoming Spider-Man game isn’t much different. You’ll swing around most of Manhattan in similar ways, with slight adjustments to accommodate Miles Morales’ persona. For example, how Peter Parker swings through the city is more measured and composed. With Miles Morales, you’d be able to understand that it’s a teenager who’s behind the mask, far more eager to face challenges and slightly rash and stylistic when swinging through the city.
Combat will be altered thanks to the different abilities Miles has at his disposal. However, the essentials of the combat will be mostly unchanged. For more details, check below:
Combat and abilities
As stated earlier, Miles shares the same level of speed, strength, and agility as that of Peter Parker. However, he does have a few other abilities which the original Spider-Man doesn’t. For instance, his Venom Blast ability allows him to stun enemies and deliver powerful blows through bio-electricity bursts. He’s also able to camouflage himself for brief periods to avoid detection by the enemy. Moreover, Miles is a technical genius, thereby expanding his horizon as a superhero. This allows him to use new gadgets, such as the Gravity Well or Holo-Drone, to aid him in combat. The latter is particularly useful, as it generates light clones of Miles to fight large groups of enemies.
Thanks to Insomniac Games setting a solid base with the first game, Spider-Man Miles Morales uses these essentials and adds its own flair to the mix. The result is a fast-paced action superhero game that’s highly enjoyable and brings something new to an already successful predecessor.

PC Features Trailer
Speaking of the PC requirements, Sony has released a special PC Features trailer to give us a glimpse at what this upcoming game is offering. Check it out below:
Sony is including a host of PC features for a wide range of gaming rigs. This has been the case with previous PlayStation-exclusive games to PC, and the trend seems to continue with this upcoming Spider-Man game. Some of the graphics features include 4K support, Ultra-Wide Monitor support, and various tweaks for textures or crowd density. Let’s take a look at these features slightly more in detail below:
Nvidia DLSS 2/3, Intel XeSS, AMD FSR support
With graphics cards bringing forth new graphical enhancements and technologies, Spiderman Miles Morales on PC is all set to take full advantage of them. With Nvidia GPU users, you’ll be rewarded with Nvidia DLSS 2 and Nvidia DLAA, boosting performance and enhancing the graphical fidelity. Moreover, if you’re one of the few lucky ones to own the new Nvidia RTX 40 series, you’ll be able to use Nvidia DLSS 3. With this new iteration, the graphics card and the game will be able to generate high-quality frames much faster with AI. This provides a significant boost to your gameplay.
For similar technologies on other graphics cards from AMD or Intel, you can use the AMD FSR and Intel XeSS support. While the game may be more geared towards Nvidia users, AMD and Intel GPU owners won’t be far behind.
Ray-Tracing Effects
Ray-Traced reflections and shadows greatly enhance the overall quality of your game’s graphics. In other words, these effects breathe life into the game’s world. However, they can be pretty heavy on the hardware. Nonetheless, Spiderman Miles Morales will feature these effects in-game, and you’ll be able to adjust their quality based on your gaming rig’s hardware.
Ultra Wide Monitor Support
Swinging through Manhattan in a winter setting will look its best through Ultra Wide Monitor implementation. Thankfully, Spiderman Miles Morales will feature Ultra Wide Monitor Support. The aspect ratios supported are 16:9, 16:10, 21:9, 32:9, and 48:9. You’ll also be able to utilise this support to its full potential through Nvidia Surround and AMD Eyefinity.
