Design and display: Samsung Galaxy S22 Vs Samsung Galaxy S21
The Galaxy S22 takes the concept of a small phone and makes it a reality. While the Galaxy S21 had a 6.2-inch display and didn’t feel quite like an actual “mini” phone, the Galaxy S22 embraces the concept with a 6.1″ screen that is significantly shorter.
Samsung Galaxy S22 — 146 x 70.5 x 7.6mm
Saumsung Galaxy S21 — 151.7 x 71.2 x 7.9mm
The Samsung Galaxy S22 is also somewhat lighter than the S21, weighing 167g vs 171g(Samsung Galaxy S21)
The remainder of the phone appears familiar: it has a flat screen, a punch-hole design on the front, and entirely uniform bezels for the first time on a Samsung. Previous Galaxy phones had a “chin” or a larger bottom border, but that is no longer the case. That may sound insignificant, but it is something that only Apple and Google have created, and it simply looks nice.
We also have the latest Dynamic AMOLED screen technology, which has more vibrant colours and a peak brightness of 1,500 nits, higher than the S21’s maximum of 1,300 nits.
Both phones, of course, have a 10-120Hz adjustable refresh rate for silky smooth app scrolling.
Both phones have an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner embedded in the screen for security. We couldn’t tell the difference in performance because they’re both precise and fast enough.

The main difference is the S22’s new 50MP primary sensor is more significant than the previous model. The Samsung Galaxy S22 will do quad-binning or combine four pixels into one for better light collection, thanks to the bigger sensors.
The S21’s telephoto camera, formerly a 64MP sensor cropped in to zoom, has been replaced with a natural 3X zoom lens, resulting in crisper long-range zoom images. The hardware for the ultra-wide and front cameras appears to have remained unchanged.
In terms of video, Samsung is still one of the few firms that support 8K video, and both phones can record at lower resolutions such as 4K60, 4K30, and 1080p. Samsung also claims better video recording at night and improved video stabilisation to function even at night.
Performance Comparison
Epic performance is the new norm when it comes to the Galaxy S22. The Galaxy S22 Ultra has 128-512 GB of storage, while the Galaxy S22 and S22+ have 128-256GB. However, the Galaxy S22’s game-changing feature is its new 4nm Exynos 2200 CPU, the fastest microprocessor ever used in a Galaxy S22 series smartphone.
This is aided by the Galaxy S22 Ultra’s 8-12 GB RAM options, as well as the Galaxy S22’s 8GB RAM, making streaming, gaming, and moving between apps a breeze.
The Samsung S Pen is compatible with the Galaxy S22, just like it is with the Galaxy S21, allowing you to sign documents, sketch ideas, and take notes in the palm of your hand, giving you PC-like performance in the palm your hand.
All Galaxy S22 smartphones have IP68 water and dust resistance, Ultrasonic Fingerprint security, a secure processor, and Samsung Pay (NFC) functionality, as well as other features carried over from the Galaxy S21 series.

Battery life comparison for Galaxy S22
The most significant concession Samsung made with the S22 is the lower battery: 3,700mAh vs 4,000mAh on the S21, an almost 8 per cent drop in size. For a phone that didn’t have an excellent battery life, to begin with, this is a significant improvement.
We’ll have to wait to see if the battery life comparison for the Galaxy S22 can compensate for the reduced battery size with more energy-efficient semiconductors and display technology to achieve the same battery life as the S21. Both phones can charge at up to 25W, but neither comes with a charging brick.
Both feature wireless charging at up to 15W maximum rates and reverse wireless charging, which allows your phone to function as a wireless power bank.
The battery life comparisons for Galaxy S22 and S22+, like their Galaxy S21 counterparts, can keep up with your expectations while on the road.
