Since we are in the decade of 20s, Samsung wants to refresh its lineup with a Galaxy S20 series after last year’s Galaxy S10 series.

It is speculated that Samsung would continue the same for Galaxy Note lineup. So the next series is expected to be the Galaxy Note 20 series.

All the three smartphones will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 processor which comes with a separate 5G modem. All these devices are also said to come with global 5G support. We sense that they will have 4G variants for specific markets where 5G is not available yet.

In terms of looks, we have seen renders of the Galaxy S20 series from Onleaks. The leaked renders show that there will be a rectangular camera module on the back which will be bigger than the iPhone 11 Pro’s setup.

Inside it, there will be up to four camera sensors which include: a sizeable 108MP camera sensor, a telephoto lens, an ultra-wide lens and a depth sensor. It is also rumoured that the Samsung Galaxy S20 series will have up to 10x optical zoom. This suggests that a dedicated sensor for zooming will also be included.

On the other hand, you can say goodbye to the headphone jack for as it is believed that none of the devices will have a 3.5mm jack. It is also expected that the devices will run Android 10 out of the box based on the One UI 2.1, which is Samsung’s new custom Android skin after Touchwiz.

Samsung Galaxy S20 series pricing

While we don’t have any leaks regarding the price at the moment, we can take a good guess from last year’s Galaxy S10 series as to what the prices could be.

Last year’s Samsung Galaxy S10 series started with the Galaxy S10e, which was priced in the US at $750. Now, you should note that this year’s Galaxy S20 is essentially a Galaxy S20e as well so we expect the Galaxy S20 to start at $750. For the Galaxy S20+, we expect Samsung to follow last year’s pricing. Hence the device might start at $900, which was what the Galaxy S10+ would have cost you at launch.

As for the Galaxy S20 Ultra, we see no reason why Samsung would not price it $1000. The smartphone is expected to have better cameras, better display as well as unique software features.

Samsung Galaxy S20 series Indian pricing and availability

We have seen that Samsung usually brings its flagship devices here two weeks after the global launch. Considering the Galaxy S20 series is launching on February 11 in the US, we can say that the smartphones will be available in India by the last week of February.

Regarding the Indian price of Samsung Galaxy S20 series, Samsung might announce the Galaxy S20 in India around the Rs. 60,000 mark whereas the Galaxy S20+ could cost you Rs. 70,000 for the base variant and Galaxy S20 Ultra might be priced at Rs. 80,000.
