Apple iPhone 14 Pro price is 1,19,900 rupees in India for 6GB RAM and 128GB storage variant. This phone is available in four colours: deep purple, silver, gold, and space black. But I have an Apple iPhone 14 Pro in gold colour for a long-term review. You can buy it from Amazon, Flipkart and Croma stores.

Apple iPhone 14 Pro Design and Build
The design of the Apple iPhone 14 Pro is made of stainless steel, which was found in last year’s phone. On the back side, you also get to see Corning-made glass, which gives an excellent feel. The glossy camera module is similar to the Apple iPhone 13 Pro camera module; the only difference is in size.
It has a ceramic shield display, which is shock-resistant. Even if this phone falls from a height, its display will not break easily. But here you are, not getting any such big upgrade that differentiates you from the Apple iPhone 13 Pro in terms of design.
If you have both phones in your hand, then the person in front will not even know whether it is 13 Pro or he has taken 14 Pro. But it also has a slightly heavier weight of 206 grams.

The main difference in the design of both is in their front. You get a dynamic island in the iPhone 14 Pro, which was not in the previous model. Where you used to see the dance earlier, along with this, the screen of the iPhone 14 Pro will also be a little bigger. The dynamic island of the Apple iPhone 14 Pro interrupts the screen more than this notch. Apart from this, if we talk about the build, it is a powerful phone; even if you use it very roughly, it will survive very well; the display is solid, and it is not a display that breaks easily. The power button is on the phone’s right side, while its left side has volume and slider buttons. On this side, you will also see a single SIM slot. The phone’s top side is spotless, while the bottom has a sound strip and lighting slot. Overall, the Apple iPhone 14 Pro design long term review is perfect.
Apple iPhone 14 Pro Camera
Apple iPhone 14 Pro has a triple rear camera, which includes a 48-megapixel primary, 12 MP telephoto, and 12 MP ultrawide lens, providing a fantastic output.
Whenever you want to click a 48-megapixel photo, click on the camera button, and whatever photo you click will give a 48-megapixel high-resolution picture.
The photos are excellent, but even its 12 megapixels take very amazing photos; the advantage I felt was that we get an additional lens in it, whereas earlier, you used to get the option of 3X directly after 1X. Still, due to the 48-megapixel lens, you now also get the option of 2X, which is very impressive.
If you digitally zoom it, your pixels start bursting, and the overall image quality falls, but now you get only a 2X option here. It clicks a 48-megapixel photo, and a second lens is created by cropping it from the middle. So, I found this feature to be impressive. If I talk about the quality of overall photos, then yes, you are seeing very slight improvement; there are subtle changes in some images, and the iPhone 13 Pro has clicked better than the iPhone 14 Pro, so overall, I would say that both are equal.
When I took photos at night with my friend’s Apple iPhone 15 Pro Max, I did not see any notable difference between the two. Instead, both took excellent photos. Apart from this, if I talk about camera modes, you get an upgrade in its cinematic mode; now you can record 30 and 24 fps in 4K, which is terrific.
Along with this, you get an action mode that provides a very low level of smoothness, and this will completely eliminate the work of your gimbal. Basically, it records in 2.5K and crops the record. 2.5K is less so that you can get a very smooth and stable shot, so I liked this feature of the iPhone 14 Pro very much.
Now, if I talk about its front camera, then here in the front camera, you get the option of autofocus, which is a very amazing thing because nowadays, more people use the front camera than the back camera.
From Apple, you can also record videos at 4K 60fps in the front, which you could do earlier as well, but now, if you do it with autofocus, then the next level of performance will come. Overall, the Apple iPhone 14 Pro camera long term review is outstanding.
Apple iPhone 14 Pro Battery and Charging
Apple iPhone 14 Pro has a 3200 mAh battery. Its battery is very powerful; you can use it for a long time on a single charge. So, if you change it fully, then you can use it for almost 20 hours. I also used this, and I got it excellent. One of the good things is that I have an Apple iPhone 6, which is always tied to the charger.
Apple does not define the fast charging watt but claims that the Apple iPhone 14 Pro can be charged 50 per cent in just 30 minutes. This is wrong because it will take almost two hours to charge fully, which was quite irritating for me. It also has a 15W wireless (MagSafe) charging support.
Apple iPhone 14 Pro comes with the Always On Display feature, which consumes more battery than turning it off. If your AOD is on, then it will consume almost five to ten per cent of the whole night. It has a lightning 2.0 type slot for charging, which is quite slow in data transfer.

Apple iPhone 14 Pro Display
Apple iPhone 14 Pro has a 6.1 LTPO Super Retina XDR OLED Display. It has a 120Hz refresh rate display, which makes the display scroll fast. Moreover, it has Dolby Vision and HDR10, so you can easily consume HDR content on Netflix and YouTube.
It also has a promotion display and is always on display, which was unavailable in any other iPhone until now. This is very good for those who want to use it always on display, and they have implemented it very well. Whenever turned on, it gives a 1Hz refresh rate.
It’s always on display, which is quite different from any other always on display. Because it makes the wallpaper completely dim and creates an excellent effect, which many people like very much, but many people do not like it at all. But I liked it a lot because I have to keep an eye on mail and WhatsApp notifications for work. But the thing is that it consumes a lot of battery.
Apple iPhone 14 Pro has a brightness of 1000 nits (typ), and 2000 nits (HBM) which is quite good. I used it in sunlight, and I did not have any problems. So, the overall display is magnificent.

Apple iPhone 14 Pro Performance
Apple iPhone 14 Pro comes in four storage variants, but I have 6GB RAM and 128GB storage for review. You can buy it in different storage and RAM combinations, such as 128GB internal storage 6GB RAM, 256GB internal storage 6GB RAM, 512GB internal storage 6GB RAM, and 1TB internal storage 6GB RAM. One of the points of consideration is the NVMe type storage, which is very fast in data transfer and data processing.
Apple iPhone 14 Pro has an Apple A16 Bionic (4 nm) chipset, which is very fast. I used the iPhone 13 a few days ago, so the 14 Pro is very fast. If you are looking for it for gaming, then you can buy it with closed eyes; it gives a good gaming experience and a smoother experience. But there was a heating issue.
I played BGMI for only 30 minutes, and the phone got hot. Similarly, when you use the camera for 30 minutes, the phone also gets hot. This heating is the biggest problem with this phone.
I tested the Apple iPhone 14 Pro in different benchmarks. Its Geekbench scores were 12524 in single-core and 6298 in multi-core. Moreover, its Antutu score is 1270445. The 3D Mark Wildlife Extreme Stress Test for stability has an overall score of 80.5 per cent. But it is worth mentioning that when I was doing the 3D Mark Wildlife Extreme Stress Test, the Apple iPhone 14 Pro became like an oven in terms of hotness during the test. So, the Apple iPhone 14 Pro’s performance is outstanding in my long-term review.

Apple iPhone 14 Pro Software and UI
The UI of the Apple iPhone 14 Pro is, as usual, perfect; when you buy a new phone, you will get iOS 16, but you can upgrade to iOS 18. That is, you can also design its UI according to your own.
Apart from this, you get a dynamic island in its display, which is unique; here, you get to see display animations; if you talk to someone on call, then you can see different animations; when you are talking, it indicates with some other colour when the other person is talking, then it demonstrates with a different colour. So, it is a fantastic feature.
Apart from this, when you connect it while charging, it gives different animations on all these things. You can use music at a limited level by clicking.
You can also play games with dynamic island. So, overall, the UI is perfect.

After I have primarily used the Apple iPhone 14 Pro for the better part of two weeks due to the long term review, I can say this is both interesting and poses a problem to its users. The Dynamic Island is a fitting addition and deservedly the most prominent feature of the device, bringing in some new visual appeal. It is interesting to do, there’s no question, but in actual use, I caught `some asking whether it’s a convenience or just a luxury.
The camera system is impressive, especially the 48 MP primary sensor, but in everyday life, do you really notice the difference compared to its previous camera models? There were lovely pictures taken, but the advancements from the iPhone 13 Pro were quite minimal and not necessarily earth-shattering. It upgraded the cinematic mode to 4k, which is a great feature.
Well, the A16 Bionic chipset is fast; this has been known from the beginning. I never experienced any lags or stutters, and the gameplay was very smooth. All the same, I observed some heating up after extended periods of gaming and heavy usage of the camera. The battery backup is pretty good but not extraordinary. The charging speed, however, really disappointed Maggie, considering what Apple talks of.
If you’re upgrading from an Apple iPhone 12 Pro or earlier, this phone will feel like a real leap. But, if you’re already holding an iPhone 13 Pro, you might find yourself asking, is it worth the switch? Apart from this, you can look at the Apple iPhone 15 Pro and the Apple iPhone 16 Pro.
