Apple iPhone 14 Plus Price in India and Variants
The Apple iPhone 14 Plus starts at a price tag of Rs. 89,900 in India for the 128GB variant. There are two other variants – Rs 99,990 for the 256GB storage variant and Rs 1,19,990 for the 512GB storage variant.
The iPhone 14 Plus will be available in five colour options: Purple, Blue, Starlight, Midnight and Red. You can pre-order the phone on 9 September and it will be available starting from 7 October.

Apple iPhone 14 Plus Design and Build
The Apple iPhone 14 Plus, as the name suggests, is bigger in size compared to the base model. More or less, there aren’t any major cosmetic changes compared to last year’s iPhone.
The iPhone 14 Plus also arrives with the same old notch as seen on the base model and Apple iPhone 13.
Since the new iPhone looks very similar to the last year’s iPhone, Apple has launched a new Purple colour option to excite the potential buyers.

Other colour options invoice: Blue, Starlight, Midnight and Red. I must say that the new purple colour looks really great.
Talking about ports and buttons, the power button is on the right side, whereas the volume buttons, SIM card slot and the mute switch can be seen on the left side. The bottom side features a lighting port and speakers.
Apple iPhone 14 Plus Camera
The Apple iPhone 14 Plus comes with a dual camera setup similar to the base model. This means that the iPhone 14 Plus has the same 12MP primary camera and 12MP ultrawide lens as last year’s iPhone.
Since it’s the old camera setup, I don’t expect much change in the images. It will more or less be the same. However, there is some minor change in the main camera. It now comes with a ƒ/1.5 aperture, which lets to take better shots in low light.

Coming to the front, the notch houses a 12MP selfie camera similar to last year. The selfie camera, this time, comes with a wider aperture of ƒ/1.9, resulting in sharper selfies.
The iPhone 14 Plus can record 4K videos at 24 fps, 25 fps, 30 fps or 60 fps with both the main camera and selfie camera. You also get to see a new Action mode which lets you record super stable videos from the main camera.
Apple iPhone 14 Plus Battery and Charging
Talking about the battery, the Apple iPhone 14 Plus houses a big 4352 mAh cell inside it. The bigger battery is very much needed here due to the 6.7-inch display. It’s hard to comment on the battery performance without actually using the phone, so we’ll cover that in our detailed review.
Talking about charging, the Apple iPhone 14 Plus comes with the same old 20W fast charging support like other iPhone 14 models. You can also charge the phone wirelessly, owing to the Magsafe technology.

The Apple iPhone 14 Plus has the same lighting type port as its previous models. Seeing a Type-C port on an iPhone is still a long way to go – or maybe one year.
Apple iPhone 14 Plus Display
The Apple iPhone 14 Plus features a big 6.7-inch Super Retina OLED display with a resolution of 1284 x 2778 pixels. Also, note that it packs the regular 60Hz display as the 120Hz is reserved for the Pro models
The phone comes with 1,200 nits of peak brightness which is helpful while using the phone in direct sunlight.

The OLED panel offers rich and vibrant colours. Although seeing a 60Hz display on a 90K phone still doesn’t make sense to me. Whatever the case is, the display on iPhones has always been good, and the same goes for the iPhone 14 Plus.
You will also see a regular notch on the top of the display, although it is a little smaller than before. The same goes for the bezels.
Apple iPhone 14 Plus Performance
The Apple iPhone 14 Plus arrives with the same A15 Bionic chipset as the last year’s iPhone. This means that the performance of the iPhone 14 Plus will also be similar to last year’s iPhone. The latest A16 Bionic chipset is reserved for the Pro models.
The other thing to note is that the iPhone 14 Plus variant features 4GB of RAM and up to 512GB of internal storage.
The phone comes with 5G connectivity along with BlueTooth 5.3 and Wi-Fi 6. The iPhone 14 series, including the Plus model, features the industry-first satellite connectivity feature to make calls and send emergency texts if there’s no cellular connectivity.
Last but not least, the speakers on the iPhone 14 Plus are somewhat better, with improved bass and clarity.
The iPhone 14 Plus will be a solid option for all those who want a bigger iPhone without extra features. However, the performance will be somewhat similar to the base model due to the same A15 chipset. It offers a better battery life since it packs a bigger cell inside.
