1. No upgrade in Camera
Google Pixel 6A even though it comes with a new camera module design. But the camera sensors are pretty outdated. In fact, you’ll get the same camera sensors as you already get them in Pixel 3, 4 and 5. Only a single feature is added in the Pixel 6A from Pixel 4A, which is the ultra-wide angle at 0.6X. Taking a note of camera apps and features, the phone also lags here. There is no dedicated macro camera and no full resolution mode options available.
2. Outdated display
In the Google Pixel 6A, you’ll get only a 60 Hz refresh rate. The Google Pixel 6A wouldn’t seem as fluid while surfing or browsing the UI for those who have used phones with faster refresh rate displays since the fingerprint sensor is not the fastest. In addition, you’ll also receive the corning gorilla glass 3 protection in the Pixel 6A, which is almost three generations old.
3. Poor charging speed
The Pixel 6A only supports 18W wired charging. In addition, Google did not include an 18W charger in the box, so you will need to purchase one separately. Furthermore, the battery of the Pixel 6A will last a full day with regular use, but if you use it frequently, you’ll need to charge it two times a day. It’s pretty slow. The Google Pixel 6A comes with a 4,400mAh battery capacity. Additionally, you’ll be disappointed by the non-availability of a wireless charging option in the Pixel 6A.
4. Unjustified Pricing
Google Pixel 6A is available at India’s Rs. 44,000 price tag. However, Google imported the Pixel 6A from Vietnam as well. Thus they were also responsible for paying GST and import duties. But regular users won’t notice these charges; they’ll just look at the price and make a decision.
5. Poor biometric security
You’ll get an in-display fingerprint scanner in the Google Pixel 6A. However, the face unlock feature is still missing in the Pixel 6A. Furthermore, the in-display fingerprint sensor is not at all reliable.
Why You Should Not Buy Google Pixel 6A: Final thoughts
Even after a gap of two years, Google came up with the phone with lots of flaws. This phone came up with lots of disappointments for users and unpolished features at such a premium price tag. You’ll notice many flaws with no upgrades from Google Pixel 4A. The features are still the same. So, these are some of the reasons why you should not buy the Google Pixel 6A in India.
Furthermore, you can consider some other phones in the market like the OnePlus 9RT, OPPO Reno 8 Pro and the latest Nothing Phone 1 that are worth the money you spend in 2022.
