POCO Season 2 Finally Teased

It was just some days ago that POCO has sprung into an independent new brand. Since its release two years ago, the Xiaomi Pocophone F1 has remained a trendy phone. It provided flagship-grade hardware at a mid-range price tag. The POCO craze was confusing though since only one phone was released. This led to speculations regarding why Xiaomi isn’t releasing a successor to the F1.

Poco Now Independent of Xiaomi in India

In a new development, Xiaomi India CEO Manu Kumar Jain confirmed that the POCO brand is now independent of Xiaomi and can operate its own from now on.

Following the news, POCO India posted a teaser video on Twitter offering a glance into “Season 2” of POCO. This hints that upcoming smartphones from the brand are just around the corner. In the first setup of the teaser, the name “POCO X2” is hinted at, but you need to look closely to see it. The characters of the name are scattered about. Check out the following image:

Recently, a few leaked images mentioned a supposed “Pocophone F2” and “F2 Lite”. If POCO was to release an “F2” and an “X2”, it might be so POCO can continue the F2 to succeed the Pocophone F1 as a midrange series and make a separate higher-end “X2”. For all we all know, it might be vice-versa.
