With the recent announcement of Insomniac‘s hit game, Marvel’s Spider-Man coming to PC, the idea of PlayStation games coming to PC is being cemented. While the Sony PlayStation game library is undeniably huge, people have always wondered why so few games had been ported to the PC. After all, PC players can use much more powerful hardware than their console counterparts. One of the biggest reasons could be the investments needed to optimise the game for a massive range of hardware. After all, not everyone has a powerful PC. Some might have older gaming rigs with just the entry-level specs for gaming. However, with God of War and Horizon Zero Dawn being highly successful PC ports, the time has come to expand the PC gaming library.
This article will look at some of the best (previously) PlayStation exclusive games available on PC. We’ll also provide a list of the PlayStation games that could be coming to PC owners in the near future. Now, let’s have a look at a few of the PlayStation games you can already play on your PC.

PS4 games available on PC right now
God of War
God of War is the most recent PlayStation exclusive that’s been ported to PC. Released in 2018 as a PlayStation exclusive, this version of God of War follows the events of the previous games but completely overhauls the gameplay. The combat is more brutal and crunchy than ever. However, you’re now looking at an over-the-shoulder perspective that changes how you play the game. Button mashing no longer works. You’ll have to be slow and methodical in approaching a group of enemies. The game still features some of the best set pieces in the history of action-adventure games. Moreover, with excellent optimisation and PC-enabled features such as Ray Tracing, God of War has never looked better!

Horizon Zero Dawn
This is the game that started it all. Horizon Zero Dawn was the first AAA PlayStation exclusive to land in the world of PC gaming. While the game’s optimisation was found to be a bit lacking (understandably so), it still took advantage of powerful PC hardware to deliver an excellent game. As a PC player, you can now follow Aloy’s journey to find the truth behind her past in a post-apocalyptic society. The game looks stunning, and the open world is riddled with plenty of content to explore. Endless vistas and gorgeous sunsets are a constant in Aloy’s world, and now you can enjoy them with maxed-out visuals on your 4K monitor. If you haven’t played this gem yet, give it a shot the next time you’re craving an action-adventure game.

Days Gone
Days Gone was released for PC in May 2018, coming to PC about two years after its PlayStation release. The game is set in a post-apocalyptic America, with a deadly zombie virus pandemic destroying most of the nation. This has led to the rest of humanity ganging up to form tribes and showing their version of a civilised life. Deacon, the protagonist, is on a journey to reunite with his wife, whom he assumed dead. The game is a third-person shooter with open-world elements.
The visuals accurately depict a forlorn Oregon, rife with the devastation that zombie hordes have caused. Moreover, you’ve got your trusty bike to cruise all around this open country. While the game didn’t receive critical acclaim upon release, it’s still an excellent zombie survival game. If you like games of this nature, and if you’ve loved the Brad Pitt movie World War Z, give Days Gone a try.

PS5 games coming to PC soon
Now that you’ve had a look at the PlayStation games you can already play on your PC, it’s time to check the games that have been announced. These games will be available for PC players sometime this year.
Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection
The God of War reboot was a good place for PC players to start their God of War journey. However, it’s slightly weird that none of the earlier Uncharted games has been ported to the PC. Instead, we’re getting the latest Uncharted collection coming to PC shortly after its release on the PlayStation 5. The Uncharted series has been the landmark for adventure games with over-the-top action for quite a while now.
The collection contains Uncharted 4 (2016) and The Lost Legacy spinoff (2017). These games will be remastered and brought to the players through the Legacy of Thieves Collection on both the PlayStation 5 and PC. While it might take some background reads for PC players to get into the groove, we’re not complaining about it. Any Uncharted game for PC is a good game for PC.

Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered, Miles Morales
With the announcement of Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered and the Miles Morales spinoff coming to PC, gamers are in for a treat. Marvel’s Spider-Man has been one of the biggest PlayStation hits since its release. Additionally, this game is now one of the best superhero games of all time. In fact, it’s competing on par with the Batman: Arkham trilogy.
Although you’ll be able to see similarities and influences of the latter in the Spider-Man game, Insomniac has made Spider-Man its own. From perfecting the web-swinging to bringing forth a believable and emotional storyline, Insomniac has done a fantastic job. These two Spider-Man games have excited millions of PC players worldwide, and we can’t wait to see our friendly neighbourhood webhead in action, with maximum graphical fidelity!
The Last Of Us Part I
The Last Of Us series has been a monumental force in the discussion of video games are mediums of art. There are good reasons for this too. From the gorgeous graphics to action-packed gameplay to the gutwrenching narrative, The Last Of Us has excelled at every turn. Thankfully, according to a recent announcement, the first game in the series is being remade for the PlayStation 5 and the PC. While the PlayStation 5 version will be available later this year, the PC version is still under development. The game will feature wholly overhauled graphics and gameplay while retaining the core aesthetic. As PC gamers, we’re very much looking forward to The Last Of Us Part I making its debut on PC sometime in 2023!

It helps both parties, with Sony increasing their reach and revenue, and PC gamers finally enjoying games that have been inaccessible for years. However, there are a few PlayStation games that all of us, as PC gamers, would like ported over to our favourite platform. Hopefully, these games will arrive on the PC sooner rather than later.
