OnePlus has earned a reputation as a flagship-killing manufacturer. Although some time has passed since then, the phrase has faded and practically vanished. The company is now attempting to compete in the middle segment, despite the fact that its flagships are far from cheap. The company’s next device will be the OnePlus 9RT, which will not change in the most important features. However, it will be a fascinating device in its category.

OnePlus 9RT Launch Date
The OnePlus 9RT is expected to be launched in a limited number of regions, including India and China. While a specific launch date has yet to be announced, the OnePlus 9RT is expected to arrive in India around October, maybe in the middle of the month. In India, Diwali falls on November 4, and it’s probable that OnePlus would take advantage of the festival’s sale season.

OnePlus 9RT Price in India
There is currently no pricing information available for the OnePlus 9RT. We do know, however, that there will be a minor upgrade to the OnePlus 9R. The OnePlus 9R’s base model costs Rs 39,999, thus the upcoming model shouldn’t cost more than Rs 45,000. It’s probable that the OnePlus 9 RT will simply replace the OnePlus 9R at the same pricing of Rs 39,999.

OnePlus 9RT Design
The OnePlus 9RT might have a glass back and a plastic frame, similar to the 9R. The 9R is allegedly waterproof but does not have a water resistance grade, therefore the 9 RT will most likely be another phone with some water resistance but not enough to use near a pool securely. Expect dual stereo speakers and an in-screen fingerprint sensor to return, as they did on the most recent OnePlus phones.
The camera module is likely to be part of any design changes. The camera module on the OnePlus 9R is bigger and more crowded than on most other recent OnePlus phones. Given that the 9 RT is receiving a new camera, the module could get a refresh. However, we have no confirmation of this.

OnePlus 9RT Software
When the OnePlus 9RT arrives in late fall, we know it will come with Android 12 — or OxygenOS 12 — preinstalled. OxygenOS 12, which is based on ColorOS, offers a lot of new features. A new theme store, ColorOS’ Private Safe for password-protecting documents and photos, new privacy notifications when apps access your data and floating, resizable windows are just a few of the new features.
For its new smartphones, OnePlus has assured three years of Android updates and four years of security patches. That means the 9 RT will eventually run Android 15 and will have full security support till 2025.
