According to sources citing a post on the Chinese social media site Weibo, the Motorola Moto Razr 3 5G is likely to appear in the coming months. The announcement of Motorola’s third-generation foldable smartphone comes after Shen Jun, the company’s general manager, apparently teased the product on Weibo last week. While the teaser does not disclose much information, it does include a silhouette of the rumoured Motorola Razr 3 – as well as a branding for Qualcomm’s next flagship chipset, the Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1.

Motorola has reportedly been working on the Razr 3 foldable smartphone for some time, with 91mobiles revealing live photographs of the device earlier this month. The teaser post now hints that the business is close to releasing the gadget. It may be launching this week and accessible in China through retail channels by July.

The teaser image for the Razr 3 doesn’t reveal much more than a V-shaped design that resembles the smartphone’s clamshell folding form factor. As compared to earlier generations, the reported live photos of the smartphone displayed a boxier but more polished look.
Specifications of Motorola Razr 3
The gadget appears to feature a shiny casing with two cameras and a single LED flash unit on the outside. Moreover, it might possibly include a single front-facing camera for video calls and self-portraits on the inside.
The only significant difference that interested buyers may anticipate from the future foldable phone is flagship-level specs. Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 SoC is likely to power the Razr 3. The new teaser confirms it. Other notable features include 12GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage.

The Razr 3 is likely to have a 50-megapixel primary camera, a 13-megapixel ultra-wide camera, and a 32-megapixel front camera. Quartz Black and Tranquil Blue are two possible colour combinations. Given that this is a new generation smartphone, consumers may also anticipate a new folding mechanism that is more robust.
Due to a number of concerns, including lackluster performance, uninspired durability, and a high price tag, Motorola’s revived series of Razr foldable phones has not yet attained the cult reputation that Motorola’s original Razr clamshell folding phones had. It will be fascinating to see whether the new Razr 3 can resolve these difficulties in the future.
