WhatsApp is one of those apps that is constantly rolling out and developing new features. The Facebook-owned company was reportedly developing the WhatsApp Mute Video option.
According to WABetaInfo, the new feature has been in the works since last month and will be soon available for Android users.

WaBetaInfo reported that some users have been able to access the mute video option in the v2.21.3.13 update. WhatsApp also posted about the new feature on their Twitter handle, saying
For your eyes, not your ears. You can now mute the audio on your videos before adding them to your Status or sending them in chat. Now available on Android.
Beta testers can make use of the new WhatsApp Video mute option by following the steps below.

How to use the WhatsApp Mute Video feature
Make sure your WhatsApp is updated to the latest version by opening the Google Play Store.

- You can Mute Video for both Status and individual chats.
- To use the new feature, users need to record a video.
- When the recording is finished, you can adjust the volume by pressing the icon at the top left of the screen.

It is particularly useful for people who want to share videos on WhatsApp without including background noise. Instagram has already implemented the feature on its platform. However, the company hasn’t said anything about when it going to release it for iOS devices.
