After months of rumours, Samsung will officially unveil the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 5G today. It is to include a variety of improvements, including a more powerful CPU, better camera, and larger displays. The Xiaomi Mix Fold 2 5G will then be unveiled by Xiaomi on August 11, 2022, which has the potential to exceed Samsung’s top-tier flexible phone in one crucial area: slimness.

The Mix Fold 2 will have an 8-inch main screen and a 6.5-inch cover unit, the same sizes as those on the Xiaomi Mi Mix Fold. According to a few speculations, although Xiaomi has reportedly made some much-needed adjustments. First off, both panels on the Mix Fold 2 are to boast a 120Hz refresh rate, unlike its predecessor. Xiaomi is to have used LTPO technology, which may allow for a dynamic refresh rate in addition to being power-efficient.
According to rumours, the primary screen’s crease will be less obvious than it was on the previous model. The phone’s screens, especially the outer one, should be easier to operate because they are to have bigger aspect ratios.

Xiaomi Mix Fold 2: Specifications
The Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 chip from Qualcomm, along with 12GB of RAM and possibly 512GB or 1TB of storage, is to power the Fold 2 from Xiaomi. It should be capable of 56W quick charging. The sequel may come with a battery that is even larger than the 5,020mAh unit found in the original Mix, but this is unknown.
The device is already being teased by Xiaomi, and videos and photographs shared on Twitter by leaker Ice Universe indicate that it will be very thin—just slightly thicker than the USB Type-C port. That suggests the product will be lighter than the 332 gramme Mi Mix Fold as well.
According to rumours, the upcoming Samsung Fold 4 would weigh 254 grammes. Fold 2 has likely lost a significant amount of weight because Ice Universe had previously said it would be lighter than competing smartphones.
