  • Xiaomi 12, the underdevelopment long-awaited flagship, according to a leak, will feature three 50-megapixel sensors in the rear. While this may seem unusual, but the upcoming smartphone will combine several new high-end specs in itself including a 5x periscope setting. This is accompanied by a high-resolution sensor that provides an exceptional zoom quality range without loss in detail.

Xiaomi, last year, launched Mi 10 with a magnanimous 108 MP. However, it did not focus on the ultra-wide and telephoto modules that used relatively low 8 to 13MP resolution cameras. With Xiaomi 12, the smartphone maker is trying to fill these gaps with the new triple 50MP camera setup.

The Xiaomi 12 predecessor, Mi 11 Ultra smartphone had a 50-megapixel main sensor and a 48-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens in addition to the periscope. This makes the upcoming device unusual with a focus on the addon lenses. As the device is in the design verification phase, the entire specs are not public as of yet for Xiaomi 12.

The LPDDR5X profile was announced by JEDEC (Joint Electron Device Engineering Council) just a few months ago. However, it delivers maximum data rates from 6400 Mbps (Megabits per second) to 8,533 Mbps, double what a chipset with LPDDR4X can handle. It also comes with TX / RX equalization to improve signal integrity. A new adaptive update control feature will also be available to improve reliability.
