Xiaomi 12 Expected Specs and Features
  • The Xiaomi 12 series is generating a lot of hype. The upcoming Xiaomi 12 lineup has been in discussion for quite some time, and tipsters were gathering more and more information to paint a clearer image. The smartphone was expected to come with a 5x Periscope Zoom. More details about the Xiaomi 12 began to emerge last month, including the fact that the smartphone will include 50-megapixel telephoto and ultra-wide lenses, as well as the fact that the handset will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 898 SoC.

Xiaomi 12 Expected Specs and Features

The Xiaomi 12 is most likely going to be the first phone featuring Snapdragon 898; and the launch appears to be approaching quickly now, rather than the early 2022 launch. The tipster, Digital Chat Station, has now reported that the Xiaomi 12 base model will have 100W fast charging; not 120W like the Mi 10 Ultra and Mi 11T Pro.

The periscope zoom camera, as well as high-resolution telephoto and ultra-wide cameras, may be missing from the base model. However, the device’s Pro version may include these features as well. The Xiaomi 12 will have a big battery, but its exact capacity is unknown at this time. The smartphone, on the other hand, is claimed to have a good screen-to-body ratio and a smaller punch-hole for the front-facing camera.

As previously said, the source mentioned 50-megapixel telephoto and ultra-wide lenses on the Xiaomi 12 Pro model back in August; and it appears that there have been no modifications to the plan for that variant. Though it would be interesting to see how Xiaomi decides on pricing for the Xiaomi 12 base version and the Pro version. The gap between the two appears to have grown significantly; Xiaomi may price the Pro model aggressively to get more people to choose it over the base model.
