  • Amidst the release and several Games announcements, Microsoft unveiled a limited edition Halo themed Xbox Series X and a halo themed controller at Europe’s Gamescom 2021. This release is to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the popular First Person Shooting game Halo. Alongside this, the game developer also announced the release of Halo Infinite.

    The Series X console has stars “as seen from the surface of Zeta Halo” that start just above the system’s vertical mid-point. The entrails of the vent show blue instead of usual green and are, according to PR copy, “inspired by Cortana”.

    The basic coloring of the console is distinct in itself. The manufacturer has ditched the all black of typical Series X hardware and added some grey and gold shades to the outer shell and even the power button. The limited edition Xbox bundle accompanies a copy of Halo Infinite which is available free of cost for the buyers. It is also accompanied by a unique matching wireless controller that is only available exclusively with this set.

    Halo Xbox Series X Price, Availablity

    The Halo edition Xbox Series X will be priced at $549.99, which is Rs. 39,000 in Indian Rupees. It will be available exclusively on Microsoft’s website and would soon be available for pre order at select retailers. The availability coincides with Halo’s upcoming 20th anniversary and the release of Halo Infinite’s on December 8. Several other Halo themed peripherals, like a Master Chief Xbox Elite Wireless Controller Series 2, a Halo green Razer Kaira Pro headset and a battle hardened external Seagate Game Drive were also announced.
