Fans of Grand Theft Auto 6 (GTA 6) recently faced disappointment after a popular theory about the game’s trailer release date didn’t hold up. This “moon theory” started when Rockstar Games released an image showing the moon in a specific phase. It is similar to when they announced the first Grand Theft Auto 6 trailer. Many thought a new trailer would come in November 2024 when another similar image was shared. But Rockstar did not confirm this, leaving fans uncertain.
Failed Moon Theory and Ongoing Speculations
Despite many fans closely analyzing Rockstar’s marketing and Take-Two’s financial updates, it turns out that Rockstar does not plan trailer releases around the moon’s phases. The hope that lunar cycles might predict new trailers proved to be just a coincidence.

GTA 6 Features and Release Timeline
Take-Two Interactive has revealed that GTA 6 will return players to a new version of Vice City and introduce two main characters, Jason and Lucia. Lucia will be the series’ first female main character. The first trailer showed them involved in crimes, keeping the game’s classic feel alive.
As for the game’s release, there is no exact date yet, but it is expected to come out in 2025. Pre-orders for the game are not yet available, as Rockstar usually waits to open pre-orders about six months before release.

It is expected to bring new features like more buildings you can enter, a basketball mini-game, and missions inspired by Fast & Furious. The game will first be available on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. The game’s PC version is also likely to coming later.
