The launch of the WhatsApp app for iPad has been keenly anticipated. Mark Zuckerberg himself stated that the WhatsApp multi-device support will be arriving for Apple’s tablet series, so it appears that this is actually happening. Now, the people over at 9to5Mac have gathered further proof that the iPadOS version of WhatsApp is on the way.

WhatsApp Bringing iPad Support in Multi-Device 2.0
According to reports, WhatsApp’s upcoming multi-device 2.0 feature is nearing completion. Users will be able to use an iPad as a new linked device using the new feature. It will be a significant improvement over the current multi-device feature. It requires your smartphone to be connected to the internet at all times, effectively mirroring WhatsApp on other devices.

Surprisingly, WhatsApp for Android will enable multi-device functionality on Android tablets as well. Facebook is reportedly preparing to provide multi-device support for up to four devices and one smartphone. Users may be able to access it through a browser or through a new app on their desktops.

Users will be able to keep their WhatsApp connections even if they don’t have access to their devices thanks to the Multi-Device support. WaBetaInfo, on the other hand, claims that there’s a specific version of the app for iPad. The new feature will be available in a future release. It will be a separate application that will run on your iPhone. In a future update, those who are testing WhatsApp Beta will get to use the application on iPad.
In addition to this, the app’s TestFlight beta also received another update. The new update brings version 2.21.170.12 and improved contact details for business contacts on iOS.
