To find out whether this feature is available for you or not, open Whatsapp Web and navigate to the Privacy menu of the client. Here you will find the option to enable Screen Lock to secure your Whatsapp Web. After enabling this feature, you will need to enter a password to access your chats using the client.

This means that even if someone manages to access your computer, they won’t be able to read your Whatsapp chat due to the screen lock on the web client.

You can also configure when you need to enter the password to access the Whatsapp Web Client. There are 3 options: After 1 minute,15 minutes, and 1 hour similar to the Fingerprint Lock option.

In case you don’t remember your password, you can scan the QR code to log out and then log in again. You will not receive push notifications on the lock screen to maintain the confidentiality of your conversations.

If you are using the latest version of Whatsapp Web Beta, then chances are that this feature will be available for you in the coming weeks since it is rolling out in a phased manner.
