WhatsApp’s New Chat Transfer Feature
With the new Chat transfer feature, users can just locate the ‘Chat transfer to Android’ option in the settings section. And scan the QR code on their older phone. This will make the otherwise hectic chat transfer process easy and hassle-free. The report by WABetaInfo further reveals that this new feature is currently under development. And there is no confirmation on the exact rollout date. However, with the arrival of this feature switching between devices will get a lot faster since users won’t have to rely on Google Drive for backup.
Moreover, chances are that this new feature will first be available for Android devices followed by iOS. Additionally, the platform is also working on a feature that will let users report any suspicious status update on PC or laptops using the Desktop app. The company is reportedly testing this new feature for a future update of its Desktop app. Moreover, we expect to get more information about the new chat transfer feature, in the coming days.
