WhatsApp Beta for Android Brings New Options for Phone Numbers
The new WhatsApp update will give users more choices and options when selecting phone numbers from chat bubbles. This comes right after WhatsApp allowed beta testers in Argentina to share media files upto 2GB and released new tools for voice notes.

With the new feature, Android users will get a few options when selecting a phone number from chat bubbles. Earlier, on interacting with a phone number, users were taken directly to the dialer. However, the new update will first check if the number is available on WhatsApp and then give options accordingly.
If the selected number is on WhatsApp, users can choose to send them a message, dial the number, or even add to contacts. Otherwise, users will get the option to either dial the number or add it to contacts. For dialing the phone number, you will be redirected to the phone’s dialer. However, you can start a new chat thread with the contact without having to save it.
