The Vivo Y01 has been quietly released in Africa. Powered by a MediaTek Helio P35 SoC, the new Vivo smartphone has 2GB RAM. The 6.51-inch HD+ LCD of the Vivo Y01 houses the front camera in a waterdrop notch. A single 8-megapixel camera on the back and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera are there in the smartphone.

The Funtouch OS 11.1 skin is there on Android 11 (Go edition) Vivo Y01. It may also use the 5,000mAh battery of the Vivo Y01 to reverse charge the phone.

In various African nations, including Kenya, the new Y01 will be available. However, its pricing has not yet been set. Elegant Black and Sapphire Blue are the two colour choices for Vivo’s latest smartphone. There is no information on the smartphone’s debut in India.

Android 11 (Go edition) and Funtouch OS 11.1 are pre-installed on the dual-SIM (Nano) Vivo Y01. An Eye Protection Mode filters off dangerous blue light emissions from the 6.51″ HD+ (720×1,600 pixels) Halo FullView IPS LCD panel. The MediaTek P35 SoC and 2GB of RAM in the phone make it a powerful smartphone.

There is just one 8-megapixel primary camera on the phone, and it comes with an f/2.0 aperture. In addition, it has a 5-megapixel selfie camera with an f/2.2 aperture in the waterdrop-style notch on the front.

The 32GB of onboard memory on the Vivo Y01 may get an increase with a microSD card (up to 1TB). Dual Nano SIMs plus a microSD card slot are there in a triple-slot SIM tray. In addition to 4G LTE, it has a micro USB (USB 2.0) connector, USB OTG, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and USB OTG.

Fingerprint, face recognition, accelerometer, ambient light sensor, proximity e-compass, gyroscope and GPS, Beidou, GLONASS, and Galileo are all on board Vivo Y01’s sensors. There’s also a Face Wake function, allowing users to wake up their phones by just looking at them.

The phone has a 5,000mAh battery that can charge at a maximum rate of 10W. Users may also charge another device using the reverse charging feature, which is available. Aside from that, the phone is 178 grammes and measures 163.96×75.2×8.28mm.
