Vivo has been working on a foldable smart phone for some time now. Previously rumored to be launched as Vivo NEX 5, new reports claim it will be called Vivo X Fold. This phone is set for launch in China later this year. In the Chinese microblogging website Weibo, a tipster has leaked many features ahead of its official launch.
The recent leak has revealed many of its key features, including its display details and camera specs. Expected to launch on 22 March 2022, it comes with only one storage version – 8GB+256GB. Read on learn more about the expected price, features and other details about Vivo X Fold.

Vivo X Fold Specifications (Expected)
This would be the first foldable phone by Vivo and will feature a 6.5-inch outer displays with Full HD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. Further, it also has curved sides and a hole-punch cutout for the camera. The inner display will be 8-inches with curved sides and a hole-punch cutout for the front camera.
Vivo X Fold will feature four back cameras – a 50-megapixel snapper, a 48-megapixel camera, a 12-megapixel camera with 2x zoom, and an 8-megapixel camera with 5x zoom. There have been no leaks regarding the front camera of the phone. Like most foldable devices by Samsung, Huawei and OPPO, this phone too will have an inward folding design.

This phone will come with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chip, the latest flagship offering by Snapdragon for smartphones launching in 2022. A 4600 mAh battery will power the phone and it should last all day long. Besides, it comes with support for 80W fast charging and 50W wireless charging. For their first foldable phone, Vivo is offering pretty solid specs.
We do not know the official price of the Vivo X Fold. However, speculations by Smartprix prices it at around INR 105000 if it releases in India. The expected release date in China is 22 March 2022. If Vivo decides to make it available in India, it may be available for the Indian market some months later.
