Asus just recently announced its ZenFone 8 series officially last month. However, we are also hearing of another smartphone in the works as part of another flagship. Recently, a new Asus smartphone with model number ASUS_I007D has surfaced on multiple certification sites. Although this is the only evidence we are seeing or hearing of it as it’s not yet official.

Earlier this month, a mysterious smartphone from the brand surfaced on the 3C listing. Now, in a recent development, Asus_I007D has cleared the required FCC certification. However, it also cleared the TENAA certification previously. This recent certification reveals the battery capacity details and affirms the same fast-charging details which were revealed by 3C certification earlier.
Asus Smartphone With Snapdragon Branding Clears FCC Certification
According to the TENAA certification, the upcoming smartphone is listing with model number ASUS_I007D. As per the report, the code name matches the device code-named VODKA. To recall, it also appeared inside the kernel source code of the ROG Phone 5. It is internally famous as the ASUS I007D. Whereas, in the FCC listing, this particular handset will come with a 1920mAh dual-cell (3840mAh) battery. The device’s battery has the model number mentioned as C21P2002.

Moreover, the smartphone will offer 65W fast charging support. The same fast-charging details earlier revealed by 3C certification, as mentioned above. On the other hand, the renders on the TENAA listing showcases a dedicated Snapdragon logo at the center of the rear panel. The listing also suggests that the Asus handset will feature a triple rear camera setup along with an LED flash placed at the top left corner of the rear panel. Besides, the listing didn’t reveal much about the specifications or the name of the device.
Meanwhile, the 3C certifications first reveal that this handset will have 65W fast-charging support and 5G connectivity. Asus is yet to reveal anything officially. To recall, a report published by DigiTimes last year revealed that Qualcomm and Asus have joined hands to develop a gaming smartphone. This could be the rumored ASUS Qualcomm gaming phone or it could be part of the ZenFone 8 series.
