The Fairphone 4 was unveiled on Thursday as the company’s latest smartphone, claiming to be “ethical, reliable, and sustainable.” It’s being marketed as the company’s most environmentally friendly smartphone to date. The new Fairphone 4 is covered by a 5-year warranty. It has a 19.5:9 aspect ratio 6.3-inch full-HD+ IPS LCD display. It has a Snapdragon 750G 5G processor under the hood, as well as up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of onboard storage.

Fairphone 4 Price
The 6GB RAM + 128GB onboard storage option of the Fairphone 4 costs EUR 579 (approximately Rs. 49,800). The 8GB RAM + 256GB storage option costs EUR 649. (roughly Rs. 55,845). The smartphone will start shipping on October 25, and it will be available for purchase on Fairphone’s website. The standard model will only be available in Grey, while the other variant will be available in Green, Grey, and Speckled Green colours. Fairphone will provide a 5-year warranty on the smartphone, as previously stated.

Specifications and Features
The Fairphone 4 is a dual-SIM (Nano + eSIM) smartphone that comes pre-installed with Android 11. Fairphone claims that until the end of 2025, the smartphone will receive two major Android and software updates. It has a 6.3-inch full-HD+ (1,080×2,340 pixels) IPS LCD display with a 19.5:9 aspect ratio, Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection, and a pixel density of 410ppi. It features a Snapdragon 750G 5G SoC with Adreno 619 GPU and up to 8GB of RAM. It includes onboard storage of up to 256GB, which is expandable with a microSD card (up to 2TB).
In terms of cameras, the Fairphone 4 features a dual rear camera configuration with a 48-megapixel primary Sony IMX582 sensor with an f/1.6 aperture lens and up to 8x digital zoom. A 48-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens with an f/2.2 aperture and a 120-degree angle is the other sensor. A 25-megapixel Sony IMX576 sensor with HDR capability, an f/2.2 aperture lens, and up to 8x digital zoom will handle selfies and video calls.

The Fairphone 4 is dust and water-resistant to IP54 standards. It has a removable 3,905mAh battery that supports 30W rapid charging. It weighs 225 grammes and measures 162×75.5×10.5mm. A side-mounted fingerprint scanner, accelerometer, gyroscope, proximity sensor, and an e-compass are among the onboard sensors.
