The way that the upcoming HDMI 2.1a Standard will do it is by optimising HDMI displays in Dynamic Mode. With this, it shall automatically adjust its tone and brightness as per the video sequence. It will do so on its own and users will not have to make manual adjustments beforehand for it to work.

HDR displays offer a more vibrant and bright viewing experience. With the upcoming new HDMI Standard, displays using HDR will be further enhanced. This means that no matter what video sequence you are watching or game sequence you are playing through, the display will adjust according to the sequence to bring out the best of those colours.
